I had an inspired idea. So many of my readers enjoy writing fan fiction that I thought perhaps I should offer a contest wherein a piece of fan fiction based upon one of my characters can be entered to win a prize.

Who are my characters? To name but a few:

Leif Eiriksson in Love’s Second Sight, or perhaps, Thorgunna, the witch of Tiree and very powerful property owner

Big Tom in The Orca King. He’s a whale shape-shifter. Swoon-worthy.

Lukas Wrestling Smyth or Matthew Righteous Journey Mortensen–the doomed lovers, scourged and burned, setting them on a mission to find each other in their next lifetime. They are Unrepentant

Judah Hayaam “Hay” El-Bara, of Harvest of Change, the unwilling bridegroom of the harvest goddess. Unwilling because he is love with a man. He discovers that gender, love and spirit are fluid and beyond explanation.

There are many, many more. I urge you to pick a title, read it and submit a piece of fan fiction regarding your favorite character in that book.

All submissions must be in PDF format, no longer than 5000 words. Submit to darragha@gmail.com with the subject line: FAN FICTION CONTEST. Any heat level. Any topic, as long as it is Fan Fiction based on one of my characters. You may submit up to three works. Submissions open June 12th and close on June 30th.
