When Worlds Collide

We’re selling our house and have already rented a 1940’s farmhouse on 6 acres outside the city limits. I am going to have chickens and goats. I have been busier than sin (and sin is pretty darn busy, yes?), and am behind on writing, readings, laundry and we’re down to a half-jar of peanut butter and some lentils on the shelf.
I need to go buy laundry soap today or the detritus of the laundry room is going to find the jar of peanut butter and leave us with nothing! Perhaps when I buy that laundry soap, I’ll buy groceries, too! Wow! What a concept. I can’t just wish bananas and coffee into my cupboards. I have to make time to shop. I know…I’ll buy the laundry soap, toss it at the house like I’m doing a drive-by and then go shopping while my husband does laundry. “It’s a drive-by washing!”
My “real life” has collided with my “writing life.” I’m hoping the merging of these two heated masses will create massive energy, ’cause I’m going to need it!
So that’s where you’ve been lately. Sounds very busy yet exciting. Good luck with the move.
