Thar he blows again! As preparation for the release of OK II, I went back and reread OK I. I had enjoyed the novel idea of a shapeshifting orca in the beautiful setting of the Orca Islands, and was looking forward to more. I was happy to see more of Grandmother in this book, but was sad to see that Tom had lost his mojo. Darr did a great job with her first m/m, which was nicely presented as part of an unlooked for but fulfilling relationship and not just a casual mutual wank. I got a little lost at times following the pair through
spiritual/spatial dimensions, but that is probably my failing and not the author's. This second coming of Tom is very different than the first, but the spirit of the islands and the voice of the author remain consistent. Recommended to those who appreciate the gifts of nature in all their forms, and Darr's writing in particular.
Days in the 13th month on Planet Darragha, the land from whence come all manner of oddities.
Number of unfinished story ideas featuring necropants are currently in the queue.
Current record for number of times in one day you’ve randomly yelled out “maggoty thighs!” and laughed.
…I could probably keep going, but in order to let others in on the fun, I shall stop now.
I’m yelling these answers across the house. OMG! You’re so right!
No, not really…but my husband wants to give you a cookie any way.
We know where you live, Cauldron.
Number of werewolves in your next story all sharing the same heroine? What’ll that be? Menage a owie?
I’ve been kind of bummed lately. Reading these replies has certainly made me giggle!
And you know what they say…laughter is the best medicine!
But, darling Celia…NOT! She only shares 7 were-creatures (that were-flea…such a bugger) in the book.
All I could think of were teeth..or is that “wereteeth”?
Not teeth.
Do I need to leave a hint?
Hint one: it’s better than zero.
