Thar he blows again! As preparation for the release of OK II, I went back and reread OK I. I had enjoyed the novel idea of a shapeshifting orca in the beautiful setting of the Orca Islands, and was looking forward to more. I was happy to see more of Grandmother in this book, but was sad to see that Tom had lost his mojo. Darr did a great job with her first m/m, which was nicely presented as part of an unlooked for but fulfilling relationship and not just a casual mutual wank. I got a little lost at times following the pair through
spiritual/spatial dimensions, but that is probably my failing and not the author's. This second coming of Tom is very different than the first, but the spirit of the islands and the voice of the author remain consistent. Recommended to those who appreciate the gifts of nature in all their forms, and Darr's writing in particular.
looks GREAT to me!
That’s an open minded picture - awesome!!
